FAQs

What is PPC?

PPC is Pay Per Click. You are charged only when a potential customer clicks on your ad. You set a maximum spend per day so you don't overspend.

How much do I need to spend to see results?

We recommend spending between $15-20 a day on your PPC ad, but can do a bare minimum of $10/day, if needed. While there is no minimum ad spend, the less you spend, the less results you'll get. Sure, we could set up an ad with $5/day budget, but it may not even be worth your time running. And we don't want to waste your precious ad dollars. We'd be happy to help set up a Facebook/Instagram ad for you if you have a smaller budget!

Interesting tidbit: The average cost-per-click in the US is between $1-$2.

What is your fee to set up a Google ad?

We charge a flat $75 fee per ad whether you want the ad to run for a few weeks or monthly. If changes are requested, we do have a slight charge for that. Most companies charge 20-30% of what your ad spend is. Some also charge a set up fee and monthly ongoing rate. We feel a flat rate, per ad, is a more affordable and fair approach.

When do I need to pay?

Google: You'll have a card on file with Google- you will be charged at the end of the time period you set for your ad.

Pinecrest: You'll receive an invoice once your ad is set up, due upon receipt. Or we can charge the card we have on file.

Do I have to have an ad continually running?

Nope. We're happy to get an ad set up during a promotional month or time period- start and stop when you'd like.

Are there different types of Google ads?

You have a few choices; search and display are the most common we set up.

  • Display campaign - Your ad will be shown across Google's vast website partners on their sites. This might be on a YouTube video, at the top of a news network, or on the side of a shopping website.

  • Shopping campaign - Your ad will be shown as an image (with others in a row) with links where to buy.

  • Search campaign - Your ad will appear as text only. Search ads are below shopping campaigns.

  • Video campaign - Very similar to display campaigns, but a video ad vs text only, will be at the top of YouTube search results or at the beginning of a YouTube video.

  • App campaign - Your ad will be shown on apps you use on your devices.
